It is the policy of YES to YOUTH - Montgomery County Youth Services that all records relating to clients shall remain confidential, unless otherwise authorized by the client and/or parent/legal guardian, court order, or in the event of an emergency situation.  Policies and procedures have been established to protect the privacy of the clients and to ensure confidentiality in all situations.

Employees, interns and volunteers of  YES to YOUTH - Montgomery County Youth Services will, to the best of their ability, ensure confidentiality and privacy in regard to history, records and discussions about the people we serve.  This means that staff shall not disclose and information about a person, including the fact that the person is or is not served by our organization, except on a need to know basis, either inside or outside the agency and never without authorization.  The principle of confidentiality is to be maintained in all programs, departments, functions and activities.
